Tender Mercies Volunteer Sign-Up

November 11 & 12

On the 3rd Sunday of each month, a group from our Blessed Saints Pastoral Region provides and serves dinner to a group of approximately 35 residents at the Tender Mercies Shelter in Over-the-Rhine. Tender Mercies is a transitional shelter for homeless people with mental or emotional disabilities. Participating in this ministry is very flexible, ranging from occasionally providing one item for the meal to preparing and/or serving the whole meal (usually as a group).

Signups for the next several months will occur the weekend of Nov. 11 & 12 after the Saturday 5:00 PM & the  11:15 AM Masses in the St. Bart Narthex and after the  9:30 AM Mass in the St. Vivian Breezeway.

If you are unable to make these Masses, call Mary Ann Krusling (931-1833) to sign up early. For more info, contact Mary Ann or Sue Bacevich (521-8185).

Be a "Peach" This Christmas!

Donations accepted through November 26

Valley Interfaith would like our parish to provide 200 cans of peaches for their Christmas basket program. Our parish has over 700 registered families - surely we can come up with 200 cans of peaches! Drop off donations at the parish office or in the box you'll find in the narthex.

Financial Aid Application Open for JP2 Families

Deadline is January 31, 2018

Thanks to generous donors, the parish is able to provide tuition assistance (above and beyond the discounted rate and parish support) to some parish families whose children attend John Paul II Catholic School.

To help ensure that these funds go to active, Catholic families dealing with financial challenges, we use FACTS (a web-based program) as our primary tool for financial need analysis. Parish families who are experiencing financial challenges and whose children will attend JP2 in 2018-2019 are encouraged to apply for additional assistance through FACTS; applications must be received by January 31.

Learn important details and tips on our website, or login to FACTS.

Special Seminary Video

A graduate student at Northern Kentucky University, Ann Herbert, produced this very fine video history of

Mount St. Mary’s Seminary of the West.

It is slightly over an hour long and a delightful look at this great jewel of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

Enjoy!

Remembering Your Loved One

Consider having the red sanctuary candle by the

tabernacle lit "in honor of" or "in memory of" your loved

one. The suggested donation would be $5, and the candle

would burn for one week. Your loved one would be

mentioned in the bulletin and during the weekend

intentions. If you are interested, contact Joanne at the

parish office (522.3680).

Headed the Right Way?

If you've been away from Christ and/or His Church

and are ready to turn your feet

and your life back to Him,

we would love to help you

take those important steps!

For those who are new to Catholicism...
