Want to See That Again?

Everyone at Mass this past weekend had a chance to see at least some of the of video that presents the potential plans for the church entry and narthex. The Committee is looking forward to hearing from you, so be sure to offer your feedback.

Can You Spend an Hour with Jesus?

We are looking for more people to join us for Tuesday's Eucharistic Adoration. We invite you to reflect on our need to have someone present while Jesus resides in the monstrance. You are asked to commit to just one hour each week in the presence of Christ. Thank you to all who honor the Lord in this way. Contact Gail Hankins for additional information or to sign up.

Time to Clean Up for Some Worthy Causes

The Mission Garage Sale and St. Vincent de Paul groups have joined together to help with your spring clean-up! You can bring your gently used items to the Krumpe Center during the week of May 1 (M-W, 7-8 PM; Th, all day) for the Mission Garage Sale.

The Garage Sale takes place from 9-1 on Friday, May 5 and 9-12 on Saturday, May 6.

The St. Vincent de Paul truck will be on parish grounds and open for business before and after all Masses on May 6 and 7 as well as at 3:30 pm on Sunday, May 7 for any additional items you would like to donate.

So, here is your chance to get that garage/basement/closet in tip top shape. Thank you for participating in with donations and sales!

Want to Help Shape the Future of

St. Bartholomew Parish?

Consider running for Parish Council!

Parish Council is a consultative body that usually meets once a month for one hour and, as the parish voice, has the task of advising the Pastor on a variety of matters.

Any parishioner age 16+ is eligible to run for a 3-year council term that begins July 1. Feel free to nominate yourself or a fellow parishioner to run for one of the three upcoming vacancies. Nominations can be placed in the parish Suggestion Box (in front of Church), in the collection basket during Mass, or by submitting names to the parish office.

If you would like more information regarding Parish Council, please contact the parish office (522.3680) or a current council member (phone numbers are in the bulletin). Nominations will be accepted until May 7.

Created by God, Built for a Purpose"

June 26 - 30 (9-noon each day)

VBS is a fun week filled with games, crafts, snacks, Bible stories, songs, skits, and fun demonstrations. We'll be sending out registrations soon, so be sure to mark these dates on your calendar!

We also need many helper builders, so if you would like to volunteer for the week or be part of the planning team, contact Amy Staubach.

Festival Will Be Here Before You Know It!

July 28, 29, 30

This is THE fundraiser for the parish, and the source of funding for most capital improvements on our campus. The festival has something for everyone! Here are some key ways for you to be part of the action:

  • Pick up your raffle tickets in the narthex (church lobby) on the weekends of April 22/23 an May 6/7 (to save us the cost of postage).

  • Become a Bid 'n' Buy voluteer. More details for Jill Collard will be in the bulletin soon.

  • Become a Chairperson for: fried foods, ice cream, Bart's Bucks, Basketball/Football Toss, Front Gate Admissions, Bid 'n' Buy, or Tic-Tac-toe.

  • Join the Committee for their next meeting: April 25 at 7 pm in the KAC.

Questions? Contact Bill Mauntel.

Special Seminary Video

A graduate student at Northern Kentucky University, Ann Herbert,

produced this very fine video history of

Mount St. Mary’s Seminary of the West.

It is slightly over an hour long and a delightful look at this great jewel of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

Enjoy!

Remembering Your Loved One

Consider having the red sanctuary candle by the

tabernacle lit "in honor of" or "in memory of" your loved

one. The suggested donation would be $5, and the candle

would burn for one week. Your loved one would be

mentioned in the bulletin and during the weekend

intentions. If you are interested, contact Joanne at the

parish office (522.3680).

Headed the Right Way?

If you've been away from Christ and/or His Church

and are ready to turn your feet

and your life back to Him,

we would love to help you

take those important steps!
